WPC Wood-Plastic Grating
WPC wood-plastic composite grating, also known as bamboo-wood fiber grating or Great Wall board, is a type of wood-plastic composite material. It is made from a mixture of wood powder/bamboo powder, PVC resin, stabilizers, and additives, extruded into a single piece. The surface features a heat-transfer printed wood grain pattern with a raised, three-dimensional grating design, and tongue-and-groove fasteners on the sides. It is a commonly used three-dimensional decorative wall panel for home decoration and container houses.

PRODUCT DETAILS
Board Structure
1. Surface Decorative Layer: Heat-transfer wood grain film, simulating wood texture, wear-resistant and beautiful, available in various wood grains and solid colors.
2. Substrate Body: PVC resin + bamboo/wood powder co-extruded into one piece, hollow square hole structure, reducing the weight of the board and providing some sound absorption.
3. Tongue and Groove Snap-fit Structure: Side-mounted tongue and groove snap-fit, direct splicing between boards, dry and quick installation.
Production Process
Bamboo/wood powder grinding → Raw material mixing (PVC + wood powder + additives) → High-temperature extrusion molding (forming a grid hollow structure + tongue and groove) → Cooling and shaping → Surface heat transfer wood grain → Cutting to length → Quality inspection, packaging and warehousing
Core Performance Characteristics
✅ Advantages
1. Simple Installation: Snap-fit splicing, dry construction, no need for putty or paint, fast construction speed.
2. Waterproof and Moisture-proof: PVC substrate, water-resistant, not easy to mold, suitable for container houses, dry areas of guesthouse bathrooms.
3. Strong three-dimensional decorative effect: The textured grille design is commonly used for feature walls, wainscoting, and ceilings, providing a high-quality decorative feel.
4. Insect-proof and corrosion-resistant: Made of plastic composite material, it is resistant to insects and pests.
5. Lightweight, hollow structure reduces wall load and facilitates transportation.
6. Multiple colors and styles: Various wood grains and solid colors are available, and customization is possible.
⚠️ Disadvantages
1. Fire resistance is generally average, mostly B2 level, which is lower than the A-level fire resistance of crystal boards and aluminum honeycomb panels.
2. Prone to thermal expansion and contraction in high-temperature environments, and easily deformed and warped under outdoor sun exposure; unsuitable for open-air exposure.
3. Relatively low hardness, the surface is easily scratched, and the hollow structure has weak impact resistance; strong impacts can easily cause dents and damage.
4. Contains a small amount of plant fiber; for export to the EU, pay attention to EUDR wood traceability requirements.
5. Inferior products are prone to fading, peeling, and odor.

Selection Guidelines
1. Examine the cross-section: The pore walls should be thick; thin walls are prone to softening and deformation. The cross-section should be free of obvious pores and impurities.
2. Examine the surface transfer film: The wood grain should be clear, the film adhesion should be good, and it should not easily peel or fade when lightly scratched with a fingernail.
3. Test the fasteners: The tongue and groove joints should be of moderate tightness, with tight seams, no looseness, and no warping edges.
4. Smell the odor: High-quality products have a slight odor; a pungent odor indicates inferior plasticizers.
5. Usage environment: For indoor use only; do not use in outdoor environments exposed to direct sunlight.
Export-related tips
1. The boards contain bamboo/wood plant fibers and are classified as wood fiber composite materials. Exports to the EU require compliance with the EUDR Timber Traceability Regulation, and exports to the US require consideration of the Lacey Act declaration.
2. Testing items: Combustion performance, VOC, heavy metal testing.
3. Applicable orders: Container house interior decoration, guesthouse interior decoration orders; not suitable for outdoor projects or projects with high fire resistance requirements. 4. Transportation protection: The raised parts of the grille are easily bumped and scratched, so a protective film is added to the packaging.
Applicable Scenarios
✅Recommended Uses: Indoor background walls, wainscoting, and ceilings for container houses; TV background walls for home decoration, interior decoration for guesthouses, and commercial wall coverings for shops.
❌Not Recommended: Outdoor areas exposed to direct sunlight, public places requiring Class A fire resistance, and locations subject to frequent heavy impacts.
